Small-Scale Building Project – Promotional Measure of University Hospital, Psychiatric Clinic and Polyclinic, Closed Ward
Reconstruction and rehabilitation of the building Liebigstraße 22b as closed ward 12 for the Psychiatric Clinic and Polyclinic. The object in question is an old two-storey building, only partially equipped with a basement, that was built approx. 80 years ago and last used as an out-patient section of the eye clinic.
The closed ward 12 is equipped with the following functions:
- Ward for acute cases with 16 beds in 6 two-bed rooms
- Observation section with 4 beds in 2 rooms
- Functional section with rooms for occupational therapy and psychological diagnostics
- Day rooms, rooms for examination and treatment, rooms for nurses and doctors as well as the directorate
- Sanitary and dressing rooms, kitchen, warehouse, archive
- Faraday cage for EEG
- Various rooms for technical services and equipment
- Patients’ garden
