Water Photovoltaic Plants for Pumping Stations Project
Due to the regional socio-economic situation, and the current high influx of Syrian refugees, Jordan is facing a severe humanitarian and development crisis. The water sector institutions are putting substantial effort into managing the situation and improving the service quality, as such enhancing the financial and operational performance of the sector is essential.
This project increases the share of renewable energy in the global energy mix and develops the needed infrastructure and technology for supplying sustainable energy which consequently supports improving the financial performance of the water sector. The objective is to install photovoltaic (PV) plants for pumping stations as a mechanism to reduce energy costs and the financial load on the water sector.
